  • Cycle Track...cycle through woods, by the river - cycle hire - 2 mins walk away
  • Seal sanctuary... rescued and recuperating seals - 1 hour away
  • River Cruises... Cruise the Carrick Roads around Falmouth and Truro
  • Lizard Peninsular... most southerly point of U.K....1 hour by car
  • Lands End... Must be done - a great day to be had in the area - 1.5 hours
  • Lanhydrock House... Superb National Trust house and garden -30 minutes away
  • Caerhays Castle... 500 yards from the sea with a great beach - 15 minutes drive

  • Kneehigh Theatre... open air productions staged in the Lost Gardens of Heligan... usually at night - very atmospheric!... 3 minutes away
  • The Eden Project... Something is happening every month at the Eden Project. Spectacular settings for live concerts, theatre, etc...only 15 minutes drive!
  • The works of local artists... can be found all around cornwall... every village has venues featuring the work of local artists and Mevagissey is no exception!
  • The concert in the park... The grounds of Llanhydrock House is the venue for several concerts a year...


For "Historians"

  • St Michaels Mount... 1 hour to this wonderful island
  • Tintagel... 45 minutes to the legendary site of King Arthurs Castle!
  • Castel yn Dinas... prehistoric ground works - only 25 minutes away
  • Charlestown Harbour... go aboard a "real", two or three masted, sailing ship! usually two or three ships are in harbour (unless out filming!)

  • Newquay Airport... Coming in from...or going out of Newquay Airport is easy - visit the Scilly Isles... just 35 minutes away
