The Ancient Shipbrokers sits in the centre of the lovely historic village of Pentewan over looking the beautiful fresh water harbour and one of the best sandy beaches in Cornwall . Please note that we are in an elevated position and walking to the amenities in our little village will involve some hills and/or steps. We have been undergoing refurbishment during Winter 2014 including shower units.

Once the home of the Shipbroker who traded cargoes such as grain, tallow, timber, and china clay in the harbour, the house has a lot of history and has been decorated tastefully with colour and imagination to give a warm welcome.

Private parking is available onsite and in the village car park. Help with luggage is provided as part of our welcome.FREE wireless connection is provided. We have ample space for storing bicycles, surf boards and wetsuits.

Wake to the morning song of sea birds, the sight of the busy House Martins chasing insects, and ducks, swans and herons flying past.

There are pear trees, plum trees, blackberries, elderberries and sloes growing on our land from which we make home-made wine during the Autumn. A large area is given over to wild flowers and trees which supports natural wildlife.A kitchen garden thrives to the East.

The view from the Dining Room is spectacular ,looking out across Pentewan Harbour and the beach ,providing the perfect compliment to our delicious home cooked breakfasts. If you feel like a lazy day why not just sit and relax in our pretty garden or on the deck whilst you decide what to do. Night time brings along different delights, especially when the moon is shining across the sea ;perfect for those romantic evenings. We also see fabulous sunsets to the west over The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

We also have a delightful one bedroom traditional stone built cottage just a few minutes walk away and right in the heart of the village. This can either be used to accommodate extra guests of big parties on a self-catering basis
